Jesup, Georgia Myrtle Woods Lightsey, 85, of Jesup, GA, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at her residence after an extended illness. The Wayne Co., GA, native was a member of the Jesup Church of God and a retired Holiday Inn housekeeper. She was predeceased by her first husband: Atticus Woods and a granddaughter: Candice Byard. Survivors are her husband: Delvis Lightsey of Baxley, GA, daughters: Martha Thompson, Jean Blackwell, Judy Hand and fiancé: Phil Echols, all of Jesup, GA, Linda (Billy) Blackwell of Odum, GA, Margie (Jimmy) Marterson of Plant City, FL, 2 sons: Leon "Hambone" Woods, Charles Woods and fiancé: Patricia Brantley, both of Jesup, GA, special ex-son-in-law: David Hand of Jesup, GA, half-sister: Evelyn Bonifay of Pensacola, FL, 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 P. M. Saturday, April 7, 2012, from the Jesup Church of God with Rev. Claude Bowen and Rev. Tommy Powell officiating. Interment will be in the George Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be: Sabord Woods Sunday School Class of Jesup Church of God and Hospice of South Georgia Employees. Visitation will begin at 5 P.
