Jewell Hollingsworth Shaw, 68 of Jesup died Thursday, August 20, 2020 after a short illness.  The Bulloch County native had lived in Wayne County most of her life.  Her career in the Wayne County Public School System began as a paraprofessional in the RVI program and then she was the Wayne County High School vocational secretary for many years.  Then she became the school nutrition bookkeeper for many years. Gardening was a favorite hobby but she especially loved to dote on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Loyd and Bessie Hollingsworth; sister, Betty Newton and brother, Ray Hollingsworth.

Survivors are a husband of 51 years, Larry Shaw of Jesup; a daughter, Lisa (Andy) Fore of Jesup; a son, Dale (Heidi) Shaw of Weatherford, Tx.; 4 grandchildren, Caitlin (Roland) Hopkins, Courtney Vickers, Matti and Sawyer Shaw; 6 great grandchildren, Riley Dowling, Chloe and Grady Vickers, Millie Jewell Hopkins, Oliver and Addie Hopkins; a sister, Annette Akins of Statesboro; two brothers, Loyd (Lavina) Hollingsworth, Jr. and James (Ida) Hollingsworth, both of Statesboro; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, August 24, 2020 in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Bruce Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
