Diane Blackmon Kirkland, 62 of Jesup, Ga. passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  The Wayne County native was a retired custodian with the Wayne County Board of Education and a former employee with Wayne Sports Wear.  She loved to travel, read, listen to sermons on CD and take care of her precious cats.  Her parents, Tommy and Earline Blackmon preceded her in death along with her sister, Catherine Flowers.

Survivors are a husband of 42 years, William Kirkland of Jesup; a son, Jeremy Kirkland of Jesup; a brother, Robert L. Blackmon of Jesup; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 5 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her residence, 292 E. Bay Street, Jesup, GA 31546 with Pastor Dale Bange officiating.

The Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
