David "Super Dave" Altman, 67, of Jesup, Ga. died Thursday, March 3, 2022.  The Columbus native had lived in Wayne County most of his life and attended Unity Church of God.  He was an excellent autobody technician with England's Collison Center and could make a mean 8-layer chocolate cake.  Dave loved any type of fast and furious racing, including NASCAR, drag racing and go-carts.  Many people would recognize him driving his black Mustang in the carpool line to pick up his children. Although he had step-children, he never was a step-dad, always a DAD! He was predeceased by his parents, Franklin "Frank" Eugene, Sr. and Helen Altman and brother, Franklin Eugene "Gene" Altman.

Survivors are two daughters, Amber and Abbie Altman, both of Jesup; two sons, Thomas McGee and Taylor (Charity) McGee, both of Jesup; sister, Joy (Nicholas Kemock) Altman of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren, Madelynn and Danielle McGee; sister-in-law, Chris Altman of Jesup; several nieces and nephews; his beloved Boston Terrier, Joy.

Memorial services will be 11 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in the Rinehart Chapel.
