Ludowici, Ga. Gerald Edmund Nobles, Sr., 77 of Ludowici, Ga. died Friday, March 23, 2012 at his residence. The Long County, Ga. native was a Baptist, a retired Ft. Stewart U.S. Civil Service Firefighter, and a devoted family man. He was predeceased by his parents, Marcus and Letha Baxter Nobles. Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Nancy Stafford Nobles of Ludowici, Ga.; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and George Trexler of Darien, Ga., Lori and Tom Fry of Ludowici, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Edmund and Sue Nobles of Albany, Ga.; a brother, Hughes Nobles, Jr. of Glennville, Ga.; a sister, Elaine Dreggors of Glennville, Ga.; 6 grandchildren, Davis, Alec, and Caroline Trexler, Brett and Jenna Nobles and Roy Fry; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be 1 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Jones Creek Cemetery with Gary Stafford officiating. Memorials may be made to the Ludowici United Methodist Church, 328 S.
