Jesup, Georgia Bobby Elmer Brooker, 78, of Jesup, GA, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at his residence and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Wayne Co., GA, native was a member of the Spring Grove Baptist Church and a retired appliance repairman who had worked with H and H Tire and Appliance for 23 years. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars and being with his family. He was predeceased by his wife: Anna Smith Brooker, parents: Morris and Pearl Strickland Brooker, and a brother: James Brooker. Survivors are 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Debra and Shannon Strickland, Tammy and Mike Barwick, Tonya and James Wells, all of Jesup, GA, 3 sisters: Geneva Goff, Juanita Lewis, Shirley (Husband, Paul) Simnoik, all of Jesup, GA; 2 brothers, Leland (Patsy)Brooker of Bristol, Ga., Jerry (Ruby) Brooker of Odum, Ga.; grandchildren: Bobbie Strickland, Bracee Ellington, Brittany and Colton Burrage, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 A. M. Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harris Nix officiating. Interment will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Family. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. The Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
