Screven, Ga. Jan Hodge Ray, 58 of Screven, Ga. died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Coastal Manor in Ludowici after an extended illness. The Wayne County native attended Salem Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and reading. She was predeceased by her father, Delmar Hodge and her brother, Harrell Hodge. Survivors are a daughter, Jennifer Deal of Jesup, Ga.; a son, Greg Ray (Rachael Strickland) of Brunswick, Ga.; a mother, Marguerite Nichols Hodge of Screven, Ga.; two grandchildren, Kayla Deal Lee, Adelyn Roberts, both of Jesup, Ga.; a great grandchild, Kaysn Lee; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mardell and Ron Jacobs, Faye Hodge, both of Screven, Ga.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Cindy Hodge of Screven, Ga., Mitch and Christy Hodge of Brunswick, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Elder Tommy Waters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home.
