Jesup, Georgia Patti Strickland, 52, of Jesup, GA, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, in the Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA, after a short illness. The Wayne Co., GA, native and 1980 Wayne County High School Graduate attended Jesup Church of God and was an accounts manager for several businesses. She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary, a representative for the Wayne County Relay for Life and a 2 time cancer survivor. She was predeceased by a niece: Lindsey Oliver. Survivors are 2 daughters: Jessica and George Maeweather of Jesup, GA, Emily Strickland of Portland, OR, a son: Levi Brantley of Jesup, GA, 3 step-daughters: Wendy Parmelee of Pensacola, FL, Christina Brantley of Buffalo, NY, Heather Johnson of Athens, AL, parents: Norris and Pat Strickland of Jesup, GA, a sister: Diane Oliver of Chauncey, GA, 3 brothers and sisters-in-law: Dean and Mary Strickland of Waynesboro, GA, Danny and Regina Strickland of Jesup, GA, Donnie Strickland of Odum, GA, 3 grandchildren: Austin Harris, Joshua Maeweather, and Jaycee Brantley, an aunt: Melinda Brinson of Jesup, GA, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 P. M. Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Clayton Dowd officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be 1 to 2 P. M.
