Screven, Ga. Jeffery Murphy, 52 of Screven, Ga. died Saturday, June 20, 2015 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Wayne County, Ga. native was a member of Screven First Baptist Church and a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and being outdoors with his Labrador Retrievers. He was predeceased by his mother, Jaquetta Murphy; a sister, Jennifer Milton; grandparents, Lidge and Elvira Thornton, C.W. Murphy. Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Tina Sheffield Murphy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Alan and Jessica Murphy, Christopher Harold and Buffy Murphy, both of Screven, Ga.; 4 grandchildren, Hamp, Kassidy, Maddox and Cameron Murphy; father and his wife, Cleve and Delane Murphy of Screven, Ga.; grandmother, Nora Murphy of Screven, Ga.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rene and Ivey Hutto of Jesup, Ga., Regina and Mike Mussara of Screven, Ga.; a niece, Ivey Hutto; nephews, Brandon Mussara, Hunter Mussara, Parker Mussara, Joseph Milton, Jacob Milton and Joshua Milton; his beloved dog, Baby. Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Screven First Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Wilcox and Durwood Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Keith Vickers, Tracey Tyre, Mike Beard, Kenny Thornton, Greg Murphy and Brad Murphy. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, June 22, 2015 at the funeral home.
