Jesup, Ga. Jack D. Madray, Jr., 51, of Jesup, Georgia died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, Georgia after a courageous battle. The Wayne County, Georgia native was a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church, retired employee with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Jesup, Georgia, helped to organize and served as Former Fire Chief of Madray Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his boys. He was predeceased by his parents, Blanchie and J.D. Madray, Sr.; brother, Johnny Madray; step father-in-law, George E. Bell. Survivors are his wife of 28 years, Christie Manuel Madray of Jesup, Georgia; sons, J.D. Madray, III and his companion, Christy Edenfield and Shane Madray, both of Jesup, Georgia; sister, Jackie and Bobby Bull; brother, James and Fran Madray, both of Jesup, Georgia; mother-in-law, Barbara A. Bell of St. George, Georgia; father-in-law, Woodrow and Mary Manual of Jesup, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2015 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Horne and Rev. Tim Brantley officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ken Phillips, Matthew Skeels, Billy Murtha, Steven Stottlemyer, Jeffery Skeels, Jr., and Sean Chapman.
