Jesup, Ga. Fred C. Genschorck, 70, of Jesup, Georgia died Saturday, August 29, 2015 after a brief illness. The Colorado Springs, Colorado native had lived in Wayne County, Georgia the past 17 years and was a Retired Assistant Fire Chief with Ft. Carson Colorado Fire Department. The retired Civil Service Employee was also a member of Jesup Shrine Club and Jesup Masonic Lodge #112 F&AM. He enjoyed hunting and being with his grandchildren. Survivors are his wife of 23 years, Verna Christy Genschorck of Jesup, Georgia; daughter, Stacey Stacy of Brookings, Oregon; son, Brian Genschorck of Albuquerque, New Mexico; step-daughter, Christine Webb of Anchorage, Alaska; step-son, William "Willy" Webb of Brighton, Colorado; sisters, Dixie Wisdom and Sandra Pilgrim both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, James Genschorck of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Shawna Williams, Michael Morrison of Jesup, Georgia and Christopher Stacy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great-grandchild, Kaden Williams; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 prior to service at the funeral home.
