Gerta Mosley Tillman, 74, of Townsend, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, December 2, 2016. The McIntosh County native was born on January 5, 1942 to Ark and Lela Mosley. She was a member of Townsend Church of God for many years, serving as a Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years. She loved her Lord and Savior. She was a former employee of Altama Delta Corporation in Darien and she retired from the The Gift Wrap Company in Midway in 2004. Gerta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed flowers, sewing, and being with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Paschal Tillman; parents, Ark and Lela Groover Mosley; sister, Minnie Lee Rowe.

She is dearly loved and survived by her child, Sandra Cauley of Sevierville, Tennessee; grandson, Jesse Cauley of Sevierville, Tennessee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald (Gloria Jean) Mosley of Brunswick and Ernest (Velma) Mosley of Townsend; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Townsend Church of God with Pastor Jeremy Deloach, Rev. Grady Albritton, Rev. Danny Stillwell, and Rev. Jaime Rivera officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Eulonia. Active pallbearers will be Charles Rowe, Jason Ryals, Billy Middleton, Mickey Ryals, Dwayne Ryals, and Gary Ryals.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, from her home at 6242 GA Hwy 57, Townsend, GA 31331
