Jesup, Ga.

Robert Dale Mason, Sr., 65 of Jesup died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 after an extended illness. The Wayne County native and former resident of Brunswick was a Baptist and a retired carpet installer.  He enjoyed car racing and joking around with his friends.  He was predeceased by his father, Odell Mason; grandparents , Fred and Pearl Mason, Robert and Minnie Lee Mosley, James and Ruby Davis.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Brenda Jean Grantham Mason of Jesup; a daughter, Karen Saunders of Waycross and companion, John Renn; two sons, James David "J.D." Mason and wife, Jennifer of Hortense, Robert Mason "Bob" Mason of Waynesville and companion, Amanda Smith; mother, Peggy Mason Kirkland of Jesup; two sisters, Kathy (Eddie) Powell, Rene Ussery, both of Jesup; two brothers, Freddie (Linda) Mason, Anthony Mason, both of Jesup; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Danny Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Richie Powell, Aaron Daniels, Ronnie Turner, Jr., David "B.J." Grantham, Ryan Mason, Steve Smith, Ethan Ussery and John Mason. Honorary pallbearers will be Skip Grantham, Steve Grantham, and Gary Odum.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
