Rev. Wayne Manning, Sr., 72 of Jesup, died Monday, March 19, 2018.The Wayne County, Georgia native was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church where he was pastor for many years.  In his pastoral ministry, he served Winokur Baptist Church, Lulaton Baptist Church, Glynn Baptist Church and several others. He retired from his family's business, Manning Tire and Grocery Store in Gardi.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Stephanie Manning Wainright; brothers, Charles, Jim, and Francis Manning; parents, Corbett and Ethel Harper Manning.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Dianne Lewis Manning of Jesup; daughters, Sheila (Donald) Brockington of Jesup, Becky (Josh) Giddens of Folkston; son, Wayne "Rooster" (Debbie) Manning, Jr. of Jesup; grandchildren, Liston (Torie) Wainright, Kandace (Eric) Hickox, Spenser Wainright, Corbett, Jake, Blake, and Jon Dillon Brockington, Trey and Alex Manning, Carla, Kyle, and Cole Giddens; Great grandchildren, Stella and Bowen Wainright; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M., Thursday, March 22, 2018 from Little Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Manning, Jr., Rev. Kipp Manning, and Rev. Cliff Adams officiating and Rev. Randy and Liston Wainright officiating at graveside.  Interment will be in Manningtown Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons.  Honorary pallbearers will be fellow pastors.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the funeral home.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
