Zeda Tyre, 94, of Odum, Ga. passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 under Hospice of South Georgia care.  The Wayne County native was the eldest member of Red Hill Baptist Church.  She was known for her 43 years as a bookkeeper with Walker Chevrolet Company.  Her enjoyment was spending time in the Shellman Bluff area with family and friends. Zeda was a charter member with the Ruby Riggins Camelia Garden Club and was thankful for her many years spent on the "Tyre Farm" where she grew up.  Her parents, Ernest and Penny Sapp Tyre preceded her in death along with her sister, Udeen Bearden and brother, James Tyre.

Survivors are a sister, Ernestine Reddish of Hardeeville, SC and a host of nieces and neighbors and friends, including Phyllis (Terry) Williams, Eddy (Sandra) Surrency and Danny (Libby) Surrency.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Red Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Ruby Riggins Camelia Garden Club.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the church.
