Willie "Richard" Walden, 77, of Brunswick, Ga. passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 under the care of Georgia Hospice Care. The Long County native, life long resident of Brunswick was of the Pentecostal faith and a retired welder. He loved fishing, hunting and watching Westerns as well as spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Curtis and Willene Gordon Walden.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Jeannie Mobley Walden of Brunswick; 3 daughters, April (Cornbread) Turner of Brunswick, Stacey Miller of Mt. Pleasant, and Morgan Lee of Brunswick; a son, James (Mia) Walden of Brunswick; 9 grandchildren, Rachael, Shanen, Trenton, Cubby, Kinsley, Elle, Dale, Bella and Bliss; two great grandchildren, Kayson and Kamden; sister, Lawanda (Danny) Broadhurst of Jesup; a brother, Ray Walden of Dahlonega; aunt, Burnett Bullard of Brunswick; sister-in-law, Donna Kaye (Dobie) Strickland of Brunswick; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 23, 2023 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Walden officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the chapel.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
