Ludowici, Ga. Willie C. Milton, 87 of Ludowici, Ga. died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Long County, Ga. native was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Ludowici, Ga., a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in World War II and a retired civil service fire fighter out of Fort Stewart, Ga. He enjoyed gardening, especially his roses. Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Tommie Sue Gordon Milton of Ludowici, Ga.; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Sue and Bruce Davis of Ludowici, Ga., Robinette Long and companion, Kary Davis of Jesup, Ga.; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Pam Milton of Ludowici, Ga., Mickey and Leigh Milton of Brunswick, Ga.; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd and Rev. Brian Smith officiating along with American Legion Post 311's presentation of the U.S. flag. Interment will be in Baggs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons, David Cake, Harry Milton, Jr., Tommy Milton, Jeff Long, Mitch Milton and Matt Milton. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hospice of South Georgia staff.
