Ludowici, Ga.

Virginia L. Johnson, 80 of Ludowici died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her residence after an extended illness. The Virginia native had lived in Long County the past 18 years and was a member of Elim Baptist Church and the Sr. Adult Sunday School Class.  She was a former LPN with Liberty Memorial Hospital, a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing and fishing.

Survivors are her husband of 60 years, Don Johnson of Ludowici; two daughters, Regina (Vance) Schearback and Deborah (Drew) Harter, both of Ludowici; two sons, Thurman(Mary Ellen) Johnson, II of Fleming and Aaron(Carol) Johnson of Midway; 8 grandchildren, Crystal, Trey, Joe, Andrea, Vance II, Sheri, Semra and Shannah; several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Elim Baptist Church with Pastor Austin Burgess and Tom Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Elim Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Drew Harter, Vance Schearback, Sr., Trey Johnson, Joe Johnson, Vance Schearback, II and Troy Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sr. Adult Sunday School Class of Elim Baptist Church and the staff of Georgia Hospice Care of Jesup and Ricki Hires.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
