Tracy Robert "Bobby" Owens, Jr. 64, of Jesup, Ga. died Thursday, June 2, 2022.  The Wayne County native was a retired Merita Bread Company employee.  He loved to eat out and support our local Jesup restaurants. It was said that coffee actually ran in his veins. Bobby had a big heart for the stray cats in our area.  Buying several 25 lb. bags of cat food a week, he would not let one go hungry.  He cherished his parents, who preceded him death, Tracy Sr. and Mae Owens along with his grandchild, Jonah Owens.

Survivors are his daughter, Melissa (Chris) Zober of Brunswick; a son, Chris (Christine) Owens of Jesup; 5 grandchildren, Gabriel, Isaac, Caitelyn, Frederick and Penelope Ann; a sister, Deborah Maxwell and a brother, Marty Owens, both of Yulee, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022 from Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Marcus Miller officiating.
