TJ Canady, 13 years old, of Screven, Ga. passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 after a 4-wheeler accident. The Wayne County native attended Screven First Baptist Church and was an 8th grader at Arthur Williams Middle School. TJ loved to play basketball, ride 4-wheelers, exercise, and play video games. He used humor in life situations and was quick-witted.
Survivors are his parents, Mark Canady of Screven and Tammy Lowery of Savannah; two sisters, Angel and Marissa Canady; a brother, Mark Joseph Canady; paternal grandparents, Cindy Anderson, Gene (Monica) Anderson, both of Richmond Hill; maternal grandparents, Tammy Newman, James (Glenda) Lowery of Savannah; an uncle Tommy Canady (Vickie Hendrix) of Stilson; 4 aunts, Regina Delacruz of Jesup, Jennifer Lowery and Noni Lowery, both of Savannah, Amanda Hammond (Anthony Harrell) of Guyton; two nieces, Nevaeh Canady and Dava Lariscy; a great uncle, Brian Swain of Jesup, and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Screven First Baptist Church with Rev. Vann Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow in Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be friends and family.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
