Thomas "Tom" Allen, Jr., 71, of Screven, Ga. passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. The California native and former resident had lived in Wayne County the past 40 years and was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam War.  He was a retired technician and loved to fish, especially at his home in Lake Grace. Cookouts were a favorite time for him with his friends who were like family.  Gardening was another hobby along with photography. His father, Thomas Allen, Sr. preceded him in death.

Survivors are his mother, Natalie Allen of California; two brothers, Kevin Allen and Brian Allen; a sister, Brenda (Alan) Hockeborne; several nieces, Amber, Brianne and Desiree; friends who are like family, Ralph and Crystal Shaw of Screven and their daughters and granddaughter.

Private memorial services will be held by the family.
