Thomas Joe Danels, 81, of Hinesville, Ga. died Tuesday, October 11, 2022.  The Missouri native had lived in Hinesville the past 30 years and was a member of the Grace Assembly Church of God in Jesup.  Thomas was a 20-year retired U.S. Army Veteran and member of the VFW in Hinesville.  His wife of 44 years, Dorothy Crosby Danels preceded him in death along with a daughter, Sharon Bearden and son, Curtis Strickland; grandsons, Michael and Jimmy; sister-in-law, Vivian Brown.

Survivors are daughters, Brenda Herrod-Gonzalez of Ohio and Janet Frederic of Alabama; son-in-law, Kent Bearden of Hinesville; sister, Judy (Glenn) Harris; brother, Allen (Sherie) Danels; sister-in-law, Joann (George Roberson) Dukes; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, October 14, 2022 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Dale Bange officiating. Interment will follow in the New Home Cemetery in Patterson with full military honors. Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
