Thelma Lee "Shang" Bargeron Jackson, 87, of Jesup and Americus, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. The Wayne County native was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a member of TOPS 0245 in Albany, Ga and her hobbies were wordsearch and coloring. She was  predeceased by her husband, James M. Jackson of 55 years, her grandson, David Blackmon, son-in-law, Terry Blackmon, her parents, J.R. and Julia Bargeron and several siblings.

She is survived by 4 children, Glenn (Dody) Jackson, Glenda (Carroll) Richardson both of Jesup, Judy (Earl) Kirkland of Americus; and James (Diane) Jackson of Albany; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 5 great- great, grandchildren; siblings, Jobie Bargeron of Jesup and Frances Austin of Hinesville; special friends, David Wilson and family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 14, 2025 from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert N. Thornton, Brandon Thornton, Dylan Collett, Patrick Blackmon, John Kirkland, and Millard Kirkland. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy and Shelia Burcham, members of Memorial Baptist Church, and members of TOPS of Albany, Georgia.

Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
