Teddy Landon Nelson, 86, of Brunswick, Ga. passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. The West Virginia native had lived in Charleston, SC for 37 years prior to moving to Brunswick. He was a member of Glyndale Baptist Church and was a retired  veteran serving his country in the U.S. Navy. After his military career, he was with South Carolina State Ports Authority and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed being with his family.

Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Julia Ann Oglesby Nelson of Brunswick; two sons, Jimmy Nelson and Tony (Mary Ellen) Nelson, both of Brunswick; 4 grandchildren, Landon, Raynor, Brandon, and Roby; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2023 from Glyndale Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Creekmore and Ben Campbell officiating. Interment service with military honors will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family.

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church.
