Sylvia Rowell Wingate, 80 Hortense, Ga died Tuesday, December 19, 2023. The Brantley County native and long- time resident of Nassau County, Florida was a former member of Gray Gables Baptist Church and a retired 29- year employee with AT&T out of Jacksonville. She currently was a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church and enjoyed making beautiful floral arrangements for many customers.

Survivors are a son, Michael Wingate of Fernandina Beach, FL and his father, Terry Wingate of Callahan, FL; two brothers, Jerry Rowell and Mel (Mary) Rowell both of Hortense, GA; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Shane) Petty, Wesley Wingate, and Jacob Wingate; 2 great grandchildren; Memphis and Grayson Petty; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2023 from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rusty Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Satilla Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Paul Rowell, Curtis Rowell, Cannon Petitijean, Shane Petty.

Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
