Stanley N. Carden, Sr., 89, of Jesup, Ga. died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.  He was born on January 29, 1935, in Wauwautosa, Wisconsin and lived most of his adult life in Wayne County. Stanley was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He met his beloved wife, Shirley Carden, in Callahan, Florida, during high school, and they shared 58 wonderful years together until her passing 12 years ago.

Stanley dedicated 38 years of his life to ITT Rayonier, where he excelled and retired as the Technical Sales Manager. He was an active member of Epworth Methodist Church where he found solace and community in his faith.

An avid golfer and member of Pine Forest County Club, Stanley enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course or at home honing his woodworking skills in his shop.

His wife of 58 years, Shirley Lee Carden preceded him in death.

Survivors are his daughter, Barbara Carden Hill of Jesup; two sons, Stanley (Bonnie) Carden, Jr. of Orange City, Fla. and Mark (Linda) Carden of Newport, Oregon; a sister, Delores Welch of Oregon; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Steve Larson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joshua, Cody, Wyatt and Stanley Carden, IV, Josh and Will Blount.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
