Obituary

Sissy Moxley May, 57, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. The Wayne County native and 1985 Wayne County High School Graduate and avid Yellow Jacket fan attended Jesup Church of God.  Sissy was a former DFACS employee and substitute teacher for the Wayne County Board of Education. If you knew Sissy, you knew she had the most infectious smile, personality and laugh.  In her last years, she was a loving caregiver to her parents.  Her daddy, Silas Moxley preceded her in death along with her nephew, Travis Moxley.

Survivors are a husband of 20 years, Gutt May of Jesup; son, Dustin Moxley and twins, Cort and Charli May; mother, Anna Lee Crosby Moxley; 3 brothers, George (Debbie) Moxley, Greg (Robin) Moxley and Wayne (Melissa) Moxley; nieces and nephews, Kacee (Wesley) Surface, Little Greg and Breezy Moxley, Zac (Grace) Moxley, Allie (Grayson) Thomas, Madison and Kadie Moxley; several aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Jesup Church of God with Pastor Scott Hatten, brother, George Moxley and Rev. Mark Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kyle Owens, Russ Martin, Pat Carter, Michael Lewis and Wesley Stanfield. Honorary pallbearers will be the 1985 Wayne County High School Graduating Class.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Rinehart Chapel.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
