Sherrell Hanson, 82, of Hinesville, Ga. passed away Monday, September 12, 2023 under the care of Georgia Hospice Care. The Massachusetts native had lived in Liberty County the past 12 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hinesville. The homemaker and devoted Christian loved to listen to Christian radio and study God's word. Her husband of 46 years, Keith Hanson preceded her in death.

Survivors are a daughter, Michele (Keith) Dreas of Odum; a son, Melvin (Barbara) Hanson of Arnold, Maryland; two grandchildren, Linda (Keith) Blandin and Matthew (Elizabeth) Dreas; 5 great grandchildren, Keira, Kallen, Reed, Logan, and Caroline.

A family celebration and viewing will be held privately and interment will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens in Greenville, South Carolina.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
