Sarah Rinehart Geiger, 82, of Odum, Ga. passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.  The Wayne County native and resident was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class.  She was retired from ITT Rayonier and enjoyed creating memories behind the camera with still shots and video for her family.  When she retired, she became very involved with her grandchildren's everyday activities and school functions. Sarah helped her community by serving at the Samaritan's Center and Peggy's Plates Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband of 43 years, Marvin D. Geiger preceded her in death along with her parents, Bill and Eulee Rinehart; two brothers, Billy Rinehart and Gene Rinehart.

Survivors are her son and his wife, David and Chasity Geiger of Jesup; 3 grandchildren, Michael Geiger, Ella and Anna Grace Geiger; two great grandchildren, Sophia and Elijah; 4 nieces and nephews, Leslie Rinehart (Joey) Miller, William (Charlotte) Rinehart, Calvin Rinehart and Heather Rinehart (Chad) Scarborough; two sisters-in-law, Linda Rinehart Williamson and Donna Roberson Rinehart; several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, February 2, 2026 at Rinehart Chapel with Pastor Pete Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Jesup City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Michael Geiger, Michael Lewis, Tommy Poindexter, Jerry Miller, John Rogers and Calvin Rinehart. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Joy Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family strongly encourages memorials made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31545 because of the great care they provided for Sarah in her last days.
