Sara G. Lord, 89, of Screven, Ga. passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022.  The Wayne County native was a member of Screven First Baptist Church and the Ready Sunday School Class.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord when she was a member at Ritch Missionary Baptist Church. Sara was store manager for several companies but enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening in her free time.  Her husband, William Jones Lord preceded her in death along with 3 sisters, Jonette Tyre, Judith Hatcher and Joy Mathis.

Survivors are 3 daughters, Victoria Barette of Land of Lakes, Fla., Sherry Lord of Jacksonville, Fla. and Debbie Lord of Screven; a son, William Gerald (Peggy) Lord of Walterboro, SC; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life services will be 1 PM Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Rinehart Chapel with Rev. Mark Ledbetter and Durwood Miller officiating. Private interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
