Sandra "Sandy" McCoy Rogers, 74, of Jesup, Ga. went to her heavenly home on October 15, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. The Indiana native lived a life filled with love, faith, and service to others. Sandy had lived in Jesup for several years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class, volunteer with Peggy's Plates, the Bereavement Committee, and the Samaritan House, and previously worked in Food Service.  Sandy married Albert Smith and shared many wonderful years until he passed in 2015. She was blessed with two sons and an honorary daughter of the heart and several grandchildren who brought her immense joy. In 2021, she found love again and married John Rogers. She was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Smith, a son, Martin Albert, her parents, stepfather Harry and mother Freida Smith, 5 brothers, James, Robert, David, and Larry McCoy, and Frederick Smith; 3 sisters, Nancy Fleener, Judy Solomon, and Patsy Turner.

Survivors are her husband of 5 years,  John Rogers of Jesup; child, SFC Micah (Jamie) Smith of Hinesville; daughter of the heart, Shannon (Paul) Furlong of Pooler; 11 grandchildren, Malachi, Gabriel, Matthew, Makayla, River, Cadence, Tyler, Colin, Alexa, Reese, and Kieran; numerous great grandchildren, two sisters, Gloria (Ken) Briggs of Jesup and Donna (Ralph) Burch of Pacific Junction, IA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday October 19, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Boyd and Rev. Vann Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Hughes, Jim Franklin, Michael Wildes, Fred Holland, Mickey Thompson, and Bill Shuman. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joy Sunday School Class, Calvary Baptist Church Choir and Ken Briggs.

Family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church.
