Samuel "Dylan" Hargrove, 21, of Jesup, Ga. died on Sunday, January 1, 2023 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. The North Carolina native had lived in Wayne County most of his life and was of the Baptist Faith. The 2020 Wayne County High School Graduate and  4 year letterman in soccer, had plans to pursue a criminal justice degree. For the last year, Dylan had battled leukemia and was in complete remission. His favorite pastimes were hunting, soccer, and fishing. Being the first grandchild, he was the "platinum child" because he was a great son, big brother and grandson. His grandfather, Samuel Mitchell preceded him in death along with this great grandfathers, Jesse Hargrove and George Brantley; cousin and buddy, Christopher Mitchell.

Survivors are his parents, Michael Hargrove and Kelly Mitchell Hargrove both of Jesup; a sister, Autumn Hargrove; grandparents, Susan Mitchell, Debra (Greg) Coleman, Mike and Michelle Hargrove, all of Jesup; great grandparents, Betty Hargrove and Erin Brantley, both of Jesup; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; two special friends, Chase Mitchell and Darren Malone.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Welch officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.  Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow soccer players.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the funeral home.
