Ronnie Edward Kirkland, 65, of Jesup, GA died on Wednesday, April 16,2025 at his home, of natural causes.  The Wayne County native was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Ronnie was a staple of Jesup.  He could be seen all over town, always looking to help others.  He would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed it.  He was very simple man, who loved to drive his truck, and eat dinner at the Kitchen. (Jones Kitchen).  Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Juanita Kirkland, his brothers, Ray and David Kirkland, and his sisters, Brenda McDonald and Debbie Landon.

He is survived by two uncles, Tommy Kirkland and Bill Kirkland; nephews, Edward McDonald and his son, Nathan, Johnny Kirkland, and Alan McDonald. Ronnie had numerous cousins including Buddy and Terri Tharp.

Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Pete Boyd officiating.

Family will receive friends an hour before services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jesup Animal Control Division, 642 E. Plum Street, Jesup, GA 31546.
