Jesup, Ga.

Ronnie Dixon, 61, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness.  The Wayne County native was a member of the Crossroads Church of God and owner and operator of Dixon Timber Company. He liked running his sawmill and shooting skeet. He was predeceased by his father, Barney Dixon; grandparents, Ivie and Gilford Walker, Bertie and Emory Dixon.

Survivors are a wife of 19 years, Christie Thompson Dixon of Jesup; 4 children, Mike Jr. (Susan) Harrell of Thomaston, Becky (George) Curtis of Forsyth, Ronald Coggins and Heather Shefka, both of Jesup; his mother, Billie Dixon Ray of Jesup; 8 grandchildren, Ramsey, Ridge, Miranda, Curt, Blake, Riley, Ben and Sam;  a sister, Judy (Lonnie) Manning of Jesup; 2 brothers, Steve (April) Dixon of Jesup, Ray Dixon of Baxley; several nieces and nephews, Kyle Manning, Ivie Combs, Hollie Manning, Dake Dixon, Hallie Dixon, Jed Dixon, Ashton Dixon and his dog, Daisy.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Tim Horne and Rev. Mitch Thompson officiating.  Private family interment will follow in the Dixon Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Kevin Garner, Glenn Purcell, Delma Moseley, Lee Garner, Ben Poppell, Joe Langley and James Langley.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 AM prior to services at the funeral home.
