Ronald Gene "Ron" Freeman, 58, of Hortense, Ga. passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. The California native had lived in Brantley, Wayne, and Glynn counties for the past 35 years and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a flooring specialist and a "Jack of all trades" and his favorite hobby was riding one of his Harley motorcycles.  He was predeceased in death by his mother, Rita Freeman Miller and his father, David Raya.

Survivors are a son, Gavin Miller of Fort Valley, GA; stepfather, Bryan Miller; step mother, Carol Raya; half- brother, Michael Raya of California and step brother, Eric Raya of Hortense; a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers. Ron took care of many people. His ex's and adopted grandkids and all who knew him will miss him greatly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October, 7, 2023 from Hopewell Baptist Church.
