Robert Carol Lee Willis, 66, of Jesup, GA passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2023. Robert was the first-born son of Orene and Lee Willis, born on December 4 ^th , 1956, in Biloxi Mississippi. Robert's family moved frequently growing up due to his father's relocation by the Air Force, eventually settling in Wayne County, where he graduated from Wayne County High School class of 1975.

One day, Robert answered a knock at his door where he was introduced to brother Thomas Miles, and on that day, his spiritual journey began. He continued studying and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on November 30th, 1975, just a few months after his graduation. He met Elaine in the fall of 1979, and they were married on January 11 ^th , 1981, at the Kingdom Hall in Savannah Ga.

Robert was a musician by trade, using his exceptional musical talents to write and perform for countless people, over an almost 50-year career. His spirit and his music left such an impact on those around him. Robert had a down to earth personality and loving way about him that just drew people in; he never met a stranger, and he never missed an opportunity to witness to someone.

Robert was kind, humble, compassionate and selfless. He was a man of his word and could always be counted on to come through for anyone in need. He was a man of principles; he knew what he believed in, and if you were fortunate enough to share more than a few minutes with him, then you knew what he believed in as well. Robert was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who taught his children and his grandchildren to above all, spread Jehovah's love. He is predeceased by his father Bernard Lee Willis.

He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Elaine of Jesup; two sons, Robby (Kaylan) Willis of Jesup and Justin (Rachel) Willis of Hilton Head, South Carolina; his mother Orene Fennell of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren, Riley, Leah, Myles, and Sawyer; brothers Monte (Sherrie) of Orange Park, FL and Brian Fennell of Augusta, GA, as well as many beloved friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 in person starting at 1:30 PM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jesup GA.

For those who are unable to attend in person, the service will be available to view live on Zoom.
