Ritsuko Nagata Norris, of Naples, Florida, age 77, peacefully entered her heavenly home on Monday, September 1, 2025. She was born to Choko Nagata and Toshiko Nagata on January15, 1948, in Okinawa, Japan. Ritsuko was a woman of faith and a true servant in her church, First Baptist Church of Naples, in the capacity of greeter. She was a resident of Naples for nearly 50 years. Her family was her greatest source of pride, and she often traveled to Okinawa for family visits. Her long career in banking included serving as a teller and an occasional interpreter for the Asian population of Naples. While working on the U.S. Army base in Okinawa, she met Ronald Preston Norris. They fell in love and enjoyed 54 precious years together. She served her family well, with a passion for excellence. She loved people and had a community of Japanese friends with whom she met with regularly. She is preceded in death by, Ronald Preston Norris, (Husband), Andrea Yuki Norris (Daughter), Reverend Joel Allen Norris, (Father-in-law), Beatrice Cobb Norris, (Mother-in-law), Chogi Nagata, (Grandfather), Kame Nagata, (Grandmother), Choko Nagata, (Father), Toshiko Nagata, (Mother), Chosho Nagata, (Brother).
She is survived by one son Richard "Rick" Allen Norris, (Vickie) of Orlando, FL, a cousin, Marie Lindsey-Miller, (Scott) of Phoenix, AZ, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ritsuko will be lovingly remembered for her grace, beauty, and timeless elegance, as well as her unwavering kindness, strong work ethic, gentle spirit, and deep devotion to her family.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home, 860 Highway 301 South, Jesup, Georgia, 31546, with sister-in-law, Dr. Julie Stanley Mack officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
