James Richard "Ricky" Knight, 60, of Darien, Ga. passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022. The Metter, Ga. native had lived in McIntosh County all of his life and occasionally attended Darien Church of God.  The former Ed Deal Car mechanic also loved to shrimp.  His passion was built around music and playing the guitar.  Ricky was a homebody but did enjoy visits with his friends. His father, Hershel Knight preceded him in death along with his brother, Lonnie Knight.

Survivors are his mother, Eleanor Knight of Jesup; sister, Katherine (Dale) Blocker of Townsend; brother, Lee (Stacey) Knight of Jesup; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
