Rickey Glenn Melvin, 70, of Jesup, Ga. died peacefully Friday, April 28, 2023 at home with family and friends. The Michigan native had lived in Wayne County for many years. He was a retired Iron Worker and loved camping, fishing, and tinkering with various things as well as fixing and refurbishing them. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Melvin; mother, Bernadine Lyke Melvin; 3 brothers, Jimmy D. Melvin, Tommy Melvin, and Bobbie Melvin; 2 sisters, Cindi Fisher and Sandra Willenberg.

Survivors are a daughter, Constance Melvin of Wisconsin; sister, Detta Dyal of Jesup; sister-in-law and care giver, Libby Melvin; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial services are being planned by his family.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
