Rebecca "Becky" Teston Schmackpfeffer, 60, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The Wayne County native was a member of Golden Isles Christian Church in Brunswick where she taught children's Sunday School classes. Becky had a heart for special needs children and taught at Cedarwood and worked at First District RESA. Becky, also known as the AVON lady loved to visit her customers in their homes. Her husband of 21 years, Ken Schmackpfeffer preceded her in death along with her parents, Ernest and Faye Teston.

Survivors are a son, Danny Schmackpfeffer of Jesup; a daughter, Neely (Horace) Chatham of Midville;4 grandchildren, Joshua (Natalee) Highsmith, Will (Caleb) Chatham-Hickox, Emily Chatham and Eli Schmackpfeffer; a brother, Jimmy (Tina) Teston of Jesup; a niece, Skylar (Sergio) Tlacuatl and two nephews, Chris (Miranda) Teston and Storm Teston; special friend, Mary Ross and her fur baby, "Jaycee."

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
