Reba Jane McBride, 85, of Callahan, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. The Wayne County native retired from the King Edward Cigar Factory but held several jobs in her life time and her most enjoyable was taking care of her family. Reba was a strong-willed and determined woman who raised four children mostly on her own. She enjoyed attending church and watching television. She was predeceased by her parents, Colvin Eugene Roberson and Alice Cornelia Roberson, 8 brothers, Albert "Geech: Roberson, James "Buddy" Roberson, Colvin "Doc" Roberson, Roy Roberson, Daniel "Dan" Roberson, Paul Roberson, Frank Roberson, and an infant brother; 3 sisters, Magdlene McKenzie, Aletha Aspinwall, and Sarah Lane.
Survivors are 4 children, Dianne Hightower of Sparks, Ga., Rodney (Pam) Bennett of Jacksonville, Fla., Rosaline Hoffman of Callahan, Fla., and Kim (Tommy) Nettles of Jesup; grandchildren, Stephen, Jennifer (Josh), Kyle, Jeremy (Christian), Heather, Brittany, Jaden, Cameron, Cassidy, Alyssa, Alana, and Adalyn; several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
