Raymond Mansfield, 73, of Screven, Ga. passed way Wednesday, January 11, 2023. The Wayne County native was a retired welder with American Tank and Welding and a U.S. Navy Veteran.  He was a member of New Vision of New Life Church and loved to fish, hunt, garden, and enjoyed outdoor activities. His parents,  Dennis Wesley and Hazel Mansfield and several siblings preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Peggy Cason Mansfield of Screven; a daughter, Jeanne (Mike) Lane of Odum; son, Wesley (Bridgette) Mansfield of Screven; 5 brothers, Dillard of Odum, Harvey, Pierce, Dwayne and Leo Mansfield all of Screven; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023  at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Ryan Sweat, Rev. William Sloan and Rev. Dennis Johnson  officiating. Interment will be in the Westside Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
