Philip Lloyd Tyre, 72 of Screven, Ga. passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023. The Wayne County native was a self-employed electrician with Southern Electrical Company. Golfing, photography and walking along the beach finding seashells were favorite things that Philip enjoyed. His son, Philip Brint Tyre preceded him in death along with his parents, Lloyd and Louise Tyre; two sisters, Lee Cleland and Sylvia Harvey.

Survivors are a wife of 52 years, Rhonda Tyre of Screven; a son, Justin Shane Tyre of Screven; a granddaughter, Zaley; a brother, Edwin Tyre of Screven and brother-in-law, Ronald (Debbie) Burnette of Hiawassee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, May 1, 2023 at Rinehart Chapel with David Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
