Peter (Pete) Donald Courtsal, 71, of Jesup, formerly of Pensacola, FL, died Friday, January 3, 2025. The Rhode Island native was an optician and a Christian school teacher. He enjoyed his quiet living with hiking, bicycle riding and scuba diving. His favorite pastime was taking care of his animals, especially his dog "Roscoe".

Survivors are his sisters, Ruth (Russell) Hall of Union, NH, Paula Jean (P. J.) Hill of Elkins, WV, Lois Elaine (Danny) Gibson of Jesup, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are being held by his family.

The Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of the arrangements.
