Patsy Messer Ogden, 82, of Jesup, Ga. died Friday, November 18, 2022. The Florida native had lived in Wayne County most of her life and attended Calvary Baptist Church. The retired Rayonier employee enjoyed planting flowers, going to the beach and traveling. She had a brood of chickens that she loved taking care. Her husbands, Wendell Love, H.C. Barrow and Calvert Ogden preceded her in death along with her parents, Burl L. Messer, Sr. and Viola Anderson Messer; a sister, Barbara Courson and a brother, Burl Messer, Jr.

Survivors are 3 daughters, Jamie (Ricky) Sheffield of K-Ville Community, Wendy (Tony) Westberry and Gail (Jay) Moore, both of Jesup; a son, Wesley Love of Jesup; 9 grandchildren, Shannon Bullard, Candice Needham, Kalen Godwin, Kacie Blanton, Dillian Love, Darian Love Williams, Paiton Moore, Payne Moore, and Presley Moore; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Charles) Peiter of Missouri; several nieces and nephews and a sister- in- law, Janice Messer of Jesup.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop George Moxley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Godwin, Jasper Blanton, Dillan Love, Tony Messer, Clayce Williams and Kevin Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be the staffs of Harborview Health Systems of Jesup and Hospice of South Georgia.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
