Obituary

Pastor Richard C. Arnheiter, 73 of Jesup died Wednesday, November 20, 2019.  The Duval County, Fla. native had lived in Wayne County the past 13 years and was pastor for many years with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Jesup and in many other churches in Florida and Texas.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and member of the American Legion Post 311 where he assisted in honoring veterans at their funerals.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Frances Hicks Arnheiter of Jesup; sons, Richard(Iris) Arnheiter, Jr. of Jesup, John (Deidra) Arnheiter of Greenville, SC; 7 grandchildren, Caleb, Crystal, Maddy, Cody, Michael, II, Tara and Dooley; 5 great grandchildren, Zoey, McKenzie, Ryan, Heather and Michael, III; a great-great grandchild, Aiden; two sisters, Janice Franks of Kentucky and Joyce Hacker of Lyons.

Memorial services will be 11 AM Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Ray and Pastor Mike Jones officiating with American Legion Post 311's presentation of the U.S. Flag.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 730 S. Macon Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
