Omar Manning, 66, of Jesup, Ga. died Monday, July 22, 2024 under the care of Georgia Hospice Care.  The Wayne County native was a member of Manningtown Church of God and a former Head Start Preschool teacher and bus driver.  Omar had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.  She adored and lived for her daughter, Hannah.  One of her hobbies was making ceramics and sharing them with family and friends. Her husband, Wilbur Manning preceded her in death along with her parents, Calvin Manning and Mildred Manning Sweat; two sisters, Vicki Price and Gerana Chancellor; 3 brothers, Ray, Allen and Slaton Manning.

Survivors are her daughter, Hannah Gray Manning; two sisters, Opal (Oscar) Sweat DelaEspriella and Angie (Carl) Futch; 3 brothers, Herman (Kim) Manning, Larry (Zelta) Manning and Mike Sweat; a sister-in-law, Deborah Manning; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Joe Manning officiating. Interment will follow in the Manningtown Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Manningtown Church of God, 33 Orman Street, Jesup, GA 31546.
