Nona Faye Dubberly Mallard, 94, of Odum, Ga. passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Wayne County native was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she quietly helped with various church ministries. Her favorite pastimes were shopping and gardening. Her husband, George Wilford Mallard preceded her in death along with 6 brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are two daughters, Mary (Robert Chris) St. Dennis of Odum Laura Hollingsworth of Statesboro; two sons, Ricky (Audrey) Mallard of Odum and Eric (Melisa) Mallard of Jesup; grandchildren, Christy Johnson, Shelli Carter, Blake Wasdin, Rachel Wasdin, Heather Wasdin, Joshua Hollingsworth, Clint Mallard, Brett Mallard, Ryan Mallard, Erica Anderson and Brittany Fowler; great grandchildren, Sydney Priester, Kayla Overstreet, Nicolas Carter, Banks Wasdin, Tripp Harvey, Kayden Wasdin, Jace Wasdin, Lailan Johnson, Dylani Johnson, Hazel Belle, Haley Belle, Owen Belle, Honey Lovett, Collin Mallard, Emma Mallard Sara Mallard, Kailey Mallard, Kaleb King, Aubrey King, Eli Anderson, Silas Anderson; great-great grandchildren, Bryce Phillips and Wyatt Phillips; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Rinehart Chapel with Elders Wayne Broadhead and Eddie Folker officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Clint, Brett and Ryan Mallard, Blake Wasdin, Harper Johnson and Nicolas Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be her numerous caregivers.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
