Mitchell Brown, 56, of Screven, Ga. died Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  The Wayne County native was a Baptist and a former cabinet maker.  He was a self-taught guitarist and doting on his dog, Zeus. His father, Bruce Brown preceded him in death along with his brother, Eddie Lee.

Survivors are a daughter, Ashley Brown of Jesup; two sons, Matthew Brown of Screven and Gaven (Kari) Brown of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren; his mother, Sharon (Richard) Bailey of Screven; step-sister, Rhonda (Rusty) Ritchie of Blackshear and step-brother, Rick (Leta) Bailey of Waycross.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, January 29, 2024 at O'Quinn Baptist Church with Reverends Gerald Greenlee and Vann Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
