Mickey Lamar Dent, 53, of Odum, Ga. died Monday, November 10, 2025. The Wayne County native was a member of Odum Methodist Church. He enjoyed his working life as chef for several restaurants in Nashville, TN and New Orleans, LA. In his leisure time, he used his talents in the kitchen discovering something new to treat friends and family. He is predeceased by his father, Lamar J. Dent, his grandparents, Eschol and Eileen Dent and Pierce and Pearlie Horton.

Survivors are his mother, Frances H. Dent Strickland and her husband, Julian "Jerry" Strickland of Odum and many extended family members.

Private memorial services are being held by his family in Odum City Cemetery.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
